San Francisco SPCA’s annual Bark & Whine Ball is special event, at once a glamorous gala but also an opportunity for dog lovers to raise much-needed funds to help the SPCA meet the medical needs of homeless animals under its care.
The 17th annual ball, held March 20 at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion, was no exception, with more than 400 guests and their dogs attending. Four legged friends of all shapes and sizes along with their owners walked the red carpet, ate and drank at the bar, and received a showering of love.
NBC Bay Area News Anchor Diane Dwyer acted as master of ceremonies, and an auction helped raise money benefiting the SPCA’s Cinderella Fund, set aside for the needs of homeless animals under its care.
ShoreTel was a sponsor of the ball, and is a partner of the SPCA, which is using ShoreTel’s brilliantly simple IP-based communications system to save more than $100,000 a year and to answer more telephone calls to save more dogs and cats.

Also attending were representatives of Packet Fusion, a ShoreTel reseller and another friend of the SPCA.
I was delighted to attend the ball with my dog, Winnie. It’s a great feeling to know that a business phone system can help more dogs and cats get happy homes.
